When you download new apps to your iPhone, they'll automatically sort themselves to your Home Screen(s). However, you can change this so that new apps only appear in your app Library.
Change where new apps are downloaded
Go to Settings > Home Screen
Select an option such as Add to Home Screen or App Library Only
